Energy Storage for Daly City
About the Project
Arevon is building an energy storage project in Daly City to support local energy reliability and maximize the use of renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Arevon has led the development of the Cormorant Project and other energy storage facilities throughout California, which are designed to efficiently store energy that can be deployed back to the grid during peak demand periods.
Despite California increasing its renewable energy capacity, fossil-fueled power is still relied upon during peak hours of electricity demand. Battery storage is an essential component of grid reliability and resilience, resulting in improved air quality in our communities andprogress toward California’s energy goals.
